About

Pushkar Singh - Aspiring Neuroscientist

Hi! I’m Pushkar Singh, a final year undergraduate student majoring in Psychology. I am curious about the inner workings of the brain. How do we do the tasks we do ? How does the brain represent the complex world around us ? How does the brain solve such difficult problems with such ease ? and finally Is it possible to engineer a sensory system ?.

Now

I am currently trying to learn neural signal processing, how to set up an EEG rig and looking for potential labs I can join after I graduate.

Experience.

In my university, I currently work in the neurophysiology lab as a lab technician and a thesis student. My Primary work there is related to understanding electroreception in black ghost knife fish, Decoding the cognitive neuroscience of audition and hearing and I am also partly involved in other projects spanning computational neuroscience and electrophysiology.

I have also experience in working in the Emotion and Attention Lab, where the project I worked on looked at the role of Arousal on Attentional Processes.

Skills

I thrive on building end-to-end systems which solve a problem. I am good with programming languages like python, javascript and tools like Matlab and Psychopy. I am also a full-stack web developer specialising in the javascript ecosystem.

Get in Touch

If you are someone who is looking to get into neuroscience and share the same dream of engineering a sensory system one day, I would love to chat and work on something together.

Let’s build something amazing together!
